Behind The Scenes of Work-From-Home Mom Life

Once upon a time, I had a commute. I had a corner office. I had employees that reported to me. I had a consistent paycheck. I had money to spend on frivolous things like $20 lip gloss from Sephora and whatever concert tickets I wanted at the time. Professionally, it was a very educational period of my life, and I’m so glad and thankful for that experience.

Although it’s been 3.5 years (!!) since I set out on my own working from home, this month begins a slightly new chapter. My oldest, Brecken, finished up his Pre-K school year, and in his own words, he’s “super duper totally wotally excited for SUMMER“. The complete and entire goal of me working from home has been to be able to spend more time with the kids and have total flexibility with their schedule. I love having that – it’s honestly worth more to me than any amount of money. With that said, this summer – the last bit of time before my sweet, hilarious, almost 5-year-old is whisked away into full-time kindergarten – my work schedule is
